Description
Description
I was trying to create something heavily aquatic but complex - not another typical "fresh sport" fragrance. I accidentally heavy dosed on Calone within a "Aquatic Mellis" idea and found it smelled quite nice as a heart note, but hit a roadblock with the base to make it a full perfume formula.
I wanted to add a base combination of wood/musk/sweet that would:
- Increase complexity and depth
- Enhance the woody elements without losing the spicy/marine aspect
- Stay fresh and bright without steering in another direction
But everything I tried either killed the freshness or felt disconnected. Eventually moved on to other projects.
Would love to revisit this with fresh perspectives. What base combination would you build under this? 🤔
